Little Pines Academy is a part or full-time school for children ages 2-6 located in downtown Southern Pines.

Their mission: Little Pines Academy is a Moore County Preschool that focuses on developing the whole child – academically, socially, and creatively.

Hours: Monday – Friday: 9am-2pm
Before Care is available 7:30 am – 9:00 am
After Care is available 2:00 pm – 5:15 pm

Ages: 2-Year, 3-Year, 4-Year, and Pre-K Classes
Children must be the classroom age by September 15th.
Children must be fully potty trained to attend our 3YO – PreK classes.

Cost:

• Half-Day: 9am – 12:30pm

  • 2-Year-Old – 2 Day (Tues & Thurs): $275/month

  • 2-Year-Old – 3 Day (Mon/Wed/Fri): $395/month

  • 3-Year-Old: $445/month

  • 4-Year-Old: $445/month

• Full-Day: 9am – 2pm

  • 2-Year-Old: $625/month

  • 3-Year-Old: $575/month

  • 4-Year-Old: $575/month

  • Pre-K (4-5 Year Old): $595/month

• Before Care: $8/day or $95/month

• After Care: $15/day or $195/month

Registration: A non-refundable application fee of $200 is due at the time of enrollment.

Waitlist: A child may be placed on the waitlist for enrollment up to 3 years in advance. First priority will be given to returning children and siblings, followed by children on the waitlist. A non-refundable $35 waitlist fee is required. Waitlist Application

My thoughts:

The waitlist can take up to years on this one, but if you’re lucky and your 3-year-old is fully potty trained, sometimes that waitlist goes by rather quickly while they’re vetting new children.
