An Artist on a Mission: Logo & Web Design

Anne Villano Art | June 2020

Anne Villano is a mixed media artist, mother, and military spouse painting to make a difference. While earning a degree in social work, Anne is actively working towards developing a creative therapy program for military service members and their families. This e-commerce store was created to showcase her work and to help fund that program.

brand style

The color palette and logo were manifested to compliment her vibrant and energizing paintings which showcase powerful strokes and abstract layers. To refrain from overpowering Anne’s pastels and paintings, we selected soft, muted tones throughout the website and a minimalist charcoal style script for her logo.

her niche

Anne has been immersed in the military community all her life — she understands both the joys and the challenges.

The heart of Anne’s work revolves around the conversations she intends to start: conversations about the real stuff — mental health, spirituality, the realities of military life, the impact it has on spouses and children, and more.

While her social channels build the environment for this type of interaction, the website stands to continue to inform and fund her creative therapy program.

Creation is healing, coping, closeness and expressing without having to speak. Color is beautiful, bold, happy, love, excitement, joy and a necessity in life. Advocacy is at the heart of my artwork with a focus on military mental health. Transparency is being courageously vulnerable. All voices matter, especially in the silence of creation.
